Vegan French Toast
Weekends are made for delicious French Toast with lashings of Hazelnut & Cocoa nut butter. Feet up, coffee brewing and paper in hand.
This is our vegan version and it tastes fantastic!!
Ingredients
For 6/8 slices of bread of your choice
- 1 cup almond milk (or any plant milk)
- 45g cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon ground flaxseed
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- dash of cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Add some vegan butter or coconut oil to a large pan over a medium-high heat and melt. Dip bread pieces in mixture and cook on pan until crispy and golden brown. Add more vegan butter/oil to the pan as needed in between pieces of bread.
Serve with dollops of Hazelnut & Cocoa Nut Butter and fresh fruit. Enjoy 🙂
