Lean Turkey Burgers
Ingredients (2-3 Servings):
300g Turkey Mince
55g Chilli Picante ProMix
1 small onion, finely diced
1 clove garlic
Half a carrot, grated
Half a lime, squeezed
Splash of soy sauce
Salt & Pepper
1. Throw all the ingredients into a large bowl and get your hands stuck in and work the ingredients well. The more you work the meat, the better the burgers will hold together when cooked. Shape the meat into 2-3 patties.
2. Heat some coconut oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat, add the patties and cook for 10 minutes, turning halfway. They brown quite quickly on the outside, but don’t be fooled – check by slicing into one of the patties to make sure the meat is white all the way through, with no raw pink bits left.
3. Serve as you wish… with sliced tomatoes, rocket, in a bun etc.
PS: Want a healthy sauce to serve with them as an alternative to mayonnaise? Mix some greek yogurt with a squeeze of lemon or lime, with salt, pepper, chopped coriander and a squeeze of honey. Great with rice or quinoa.
